Welcome

Welcome to the official website of the Anglo-American Isham Ancestry Association.  It is an online file cabinet of AAIAA documents and related information as well as a digital photo album and scrapbook.

The organisation was founded by Sir Norman Isham, Bart., OBE, B. Arch. (Distn.), ARIBA, and his wife Joan, Lady Isham, in 2012, H.M. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Year.  Sir Norman is the 14th Baronet of Lamport since the title’s creation by King Charles I in 1627.

Acting on their wish to strengthen ties between Ishams and their kin on both sides of the Atlantic, Sir Norman and Lady Isham hosted the AAIAA launch on 23 July 2013.  About 50 members of the extended Isham family and friends attended the event at Lamport Hall.  It was the Isham home for more than 400 years from 1560 to 1976, when it became the Lamport Hall Preservation Trust.
